Rigorous Workmanship:
- It is in the small village of Sejnane, located in the hills of Northern Tunisia, that women continue to practice the ancestral Techniques of its internationally known pottery.
- The soil of Sejnane, the town of the Governorate of Bizerte, is full of clay. The craftsman only has to dig a hole in the ground to extract it. The earth is then washed, cleared of impurities, and then mixed.
- The final step is for women to shape clay by hand to give it the desired shape. The satin effect is obtained by sanding the object several times with a shell.
- Unesco has just included the expertise of Sejnane’s pottery on the representative list of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

- Each clay pottery is hand shaped by it's maker, no two are alike.
